Skin Problems

Skin problems are very common in Hong Kong, especially when the weather is warm and humid or when environmental allergens are high. There are a number of types of skin problems, including allergies, bacterial infections, fungal infections and parasite infections. These conditions all respond well to treatment.

Common signs of skin problems include hair loss, itching, flaky skin, greasy dry coat, pimples and rashes. On examination, our vets will carefully examine your pet's skin and may use special tools such as ultraviolet light, microscope examination and hair testing to determine the exact issue. Treatments include injections and tablets, creams and shampoos.
