Dr. Sehr Vanya Lalljee

Dr. Vanya was born and raised in India and has been passionate about animals since a young age. In 2018, she completed her Bachelors in Veterinary Medicine and Surgery at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies (RDSVS), University of Edinburgh, Scotland. Following graduation, Dr. Vanya moved to Hong Kong to practice as a Veterinary Surgeon for a few years before joining the East Island Animal Hospital team in 2021.

Dr. Vanya has a keen interest in dermatology, dentistry, soft tissue surgery, palliative care, animal behaviour and welfare and likes to approach treatment of cases from a holistic perspective.

Passionate about learning & development, Dr. Vanya is a Fear Free Certified Professional and has completed a Certification in Animal Welfare and Behaviour through distance learning at the RDSVS. She is currently working towards a Postgraduate Certification in Advanced Veterinary Practice at the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.

Dr. Vanya is fluent in English and Hindi. She supports shelters in her communities - working closely with dogs, cats and donkeys in India. In her down time, she enjoys beaches and hiking with her family dog Mocha as well as books, craft beer, puzzles and travelling.
