Dr. Roy Jones joined Creature Comforts in October 2019. He graduated with honours from the Royal Veterinary College, London in 2014. Since graduating he has worked in busy first-opinion and emergency practices in Guernsey, Jersey and Hong Kong.
Dr. Roy also holds a degree in zoology and a PhD in animal welfare, both from the University of Bristol. He is passionate about animal welfare and before becoming a vet worked extensively in this field. First as a RSPCA inspector, investigating cruelty cases in the UK, and then for a number of international animal welfare charities, managing welfare projects across the globe.
Dr. Roy enjoys all aspects of general practice and is currently studying towards a Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice (CertAVP) through the University of Liverpool. He has a developing interest in hospice and palliative care.
When not working Dr. Roy enjoys hiking, exploring Hong Kong’s vegan scene, and spending time with his wife and two local rescue cats.
