Creature Comforts Group (CCG)
The Creature Comforts Group (CCG) was established in 2002, originally as a sole-practitioner practice run by husband and wife team David Gething and Trilby White. When it was just the two of them, the pair focused entirely on veterinary housecalls, providing consultations and examinations in the comfort of patients' homes. The concept was unconventional to say the least, and many of their colleagues were surprised and amused, secretly wondering if the idea wouldn't work. Quite the opposite, the Creature Comforts concept took hold rapidly and has never looked back, changing the landscape of veterinary medicine in Hong Kong.
Since inception, Creature Comforts has grown significantly every year. In 2003 East Island Animal Hospital was established, a base of operations for surgical and hospitalised patients. East Island grew from its humble beginnings, and now occupies 6 inter-connected premises, one of the largest general practice animal hospitals in Hong Kong. In 2012 the Animal Emergency Centre was established, Hong Kong’s only dedicated after-hours critical care and referral hospital. In 2015, Vetopia.com.hk, Creature Comfort’s online retail operation commenced. 2017 witnessed the opening of Creature Comforts TKO clinic, a boutique hospital in Tseung Kwan O focused on high-service personalised patient care. CCG now employs 75 staff and is recognised as one of the largest and highest-quality veterinary groups in Hong Kong.
Creature Comforts opened in 2002 with a simple ethic to guide us: Quality. Care. Convenience. Compassion.
